Your Age on Other Worlds: You're Still a Teenager Somewhere

If you still feel like a kid at heart, this may explain it...a cool tool that shows just how relative time is.

Don't even get me started on how being a teenager on another planet affects your mood on this one, especially if that planet is one of your astronomical rulers!

Jay Smooth: "Steve Jobs is more hardbody than Suge Knight"

Jay Smooth makes an interesting point about Suge Knight, contending that his main currency was violence. I would be inclined to agree, but I feel hip-hop as a whole is accountable, if it is violence that we embrace in his downfall.

Save Gas and Kill Traffic

Being an Angeleno means dealing with record-high gas prices and infamous traffic congestion.

I stumbled on Hypermiling.com, which details a set of steps that you can take to improve your fuel efficiency. No, you don't have to put any additives in your car, but you will have to be more diligent when approaching and driving away from red lights. Sound easy enough?

For more tips on hypermiling, go here.

In the course of reading about hypermiling, I found William Beaty's interesting real-world research on how to kill traffic. Basically, this fellow is an electrical engineer, who looked at traffic as a series of waves, rather than a group of cars. If you're like me, and spend an inordinate amount of time in traffic, this will change your game. And maybe you'll start making it home in time to catch Digimon.

Please GOP, Listen to Earl Ofari Hutchinson

In this from HuffPost, EOH asserts that Romney poses a bigger threat to Obama than any other potential GOP veep, based on his age, his gubernatorial experience, and his record with social conservatives.

Then Sully links to these survey results, showing an Obama-Edwards ticket trouncing McCain-Romney.

As good as the Mitt may look on paper, the numbers don't show it. If the GOP puts Mitt forward as VP, I would sleep easier from now until November.
